Can I have the address before I book to look up distances?

We do not share the address before booking, for our security and the security of our current guests. You can use the landmark “Barkers Creek Swinging Bridge in Whittier NC” We are 2 minutes away from there.

Will my car make it up the road? Can I ride my motorcycle up?

Our property Lazy Daze is located 15 minutes from the other 7. Lazy Daze has no crazy hills and is a very easy drive in. We have never had a single issue.

The other 7 cabins has a gravel road to the top of the bluff. Some driveways are at the bottom of the bluff but most are at the top. That's how you get the incredible views!

99% of people do not have an issue. We advise that you turn off traction control and maintain a 12ish mph speed and do not stop. If you stop you will spin. Spinning ain't winning! There is a full time resident on the bluff that drives a Honda Accord and has 0 issues. We have driven AWD, FWD and 4WD. Obviously some are better than others but after your first drive up you will be a pro.

Yes, you can drive a motorcycle up. But this depends on YOUR comfort level. My husband (and other guests) has driven his up many times without issue, but he is very comfortable in driving on mountain roads and gravel roads. Only you can answer this for yourself. If you are a new rider or not comfortable with hills or gravel, then we do not recommend it.

What is your pet policy?

We allow up to 2 dogs. Absolutely no cats allowed. We do occasionally allow 3 dogs depending on the cabin you choose and your dog size. But you do need permission for more than 2. We charge a $45 non refundable pet fee, per stay. This charge is for up to 2 dogs.

What is the check in and check out policy? Can I check in earlier?

Our check-in time is 4pm. We do approve early check ins when it is available. We have to give our cleaners enough time to clean the house and get it ready for you. You will need to ask the day before if it is available.

Check out is 11am, with no exceptions. Our cleaners are scheduled to be there, and late check outs really mess with their turn around times.

Do I need to bring sheets, towels or blankets?

No! We provide all the linens you will need for your stay. Extra blankets/pillows are in the closet.

Exception: If you plan on using the Pack and Play Crib, you will want to bring bedding suitable for your baby's age and size.

Do you provide high chairs or pack and plays?

Yes! We do not keep them store in the individual cabins so you MUST let us know prior to arrival that you need them.

Will I see wildlife?

It's very possible. We have deer, possums, groundhogs, turkey, snakes, spiders and 1 bear that we know of. We have seen elk wander through the yard at Lazy Daze cabin.

Why am I charged a damage deposit? How long do you keep it?

We place a $250.00 HOLD on your card 3 days before check in. This is similar to the hold a hotel places on your card when you check in. We release the hold as quickly as possible. Typically within 48 hours after check out.

What is your cancellation policy? Do I REALLY need trip insurance?

You will receive 100% of your booking if cancellation occurs AT LEAST 30 days before arrival. Guest receives a 50% refund if cancellation occurs at least 14 days before arrival. NO REFUNDS within 14 days of arrival.

Travel Insurance is optional, but we highly recommend purchasing it. It is important to know that without travel insurance, refunds are not given due to such circumstances as weather related issues, family emergencies, illness, etc...

You will be given the option to purchase "Standard travel Insurance" or "Cancel for any reason" at checkout. Again, highly recommend!

Can I bring a boat/trailer/motorcycle to the property?

Yes! Contact us BEFORE you book to make sure you understand the parking options at the particular cabin you are interested in. Some parking is directly at the cabin and others are in a designated area NOT in your cabins driveway.

Do you provide firewood?

At this time we do not. It can be purchased locally at any gas station and most grocery stores and Dollar Generals. We do provide lighters and firestarter. Please do not go in the woods looking for firewood.

Are there restaurants nearby?

Yes! We have lots of very yummy options in nearby Dillsboro, Bryson City, Sylva and Cherokee. Most restaurants close early, even on the weekends so be sure to check closing times before you head out.

What kitchen and cooking utensils are provided?

We have all of the standard items that you would typically find in a kitchen for preparing family meals (pots, pans, knives, etc.) including a toaster, microwave and blender. Plates glasses, cups and utensils are also provided.

All of our cabins are equipped with Dual Flex coffee makers. You can make a standard drip pot of coffee or use a K cup. There will be a few starter coffee pods at each house.

What type of grill do you have? Do I need to fill propane or bring charcoal?

ALL of our properties are equipped with a gas grill and we do our best to make sure they are full for your visit. Occasionally they will go empty during a stay, just give us a call, text or email and we will get it filled right away. There is no additional cost for this amenity.

Do I have to clean up after myself?

We have a very small and simple checkout list. Wash, dry and put away your dishes. Put all trash in the cans provided at the property. We don't expect you to clean house, you are on vacation.

We do request, but do not require that you start laundry for the hot tub towels and robes if you used them during your stay. This extra step saves our cleaners a lot of extra time and is very much appreciated.

We may assess an extra cleaning charge if the cabin is left in an unusually filthy state, e.g mud tracked everywhere, furniture covered in dog fur, dirty caked on dishes, etc. If you are reasonably decent, there won't be a problem.

Is there an extra charge if I use the hot tub?

No! The hot tub and all other amenities are included at no additional charge.

Do your cabins allow smoking?

Smoking of any kind is strictly forbidden inside all of our cabins. However, you are perfectly free to smoke in the beautiful great outdoors surrounding the cabins. Ash trays are provided on the porch. Please do not put butts out in the yard, the woods or over banks. Any cabin that smells of smoke or vapes will be charged $250.00 for the excess cleaning that has to be done.

Will I be hit with charges for consumables or minor damage?

We expect a certain amount of wear and tear, as well as consumption of products. We expect you to use the toilet paper, laundry detergent and soaps, etc... and there will be no charge. We also understand that light bulbs blow, plates break and the occasional scratch. We charge only for unreasonable damage or missing items that can't be considered normal usage. Lost towels or robes, torn or stained sheets or a hole in the wall. That sort of significant and unusual thing.
